{George Rogers Clark Homesite Tour}

We decided to go to the Falls of the Ohio and George Rogers Clark's homesite.  Grandpa Van Bree came along.  It was about 100 degrees - seriously!  And we decided to walk from the Falls of the Ohio to the homesite, thinking it would be a pretty woodsy little hike.  We were wrong!!!  It was a concrete walkway on top of the flood wall in total sun.  It was about a mile walk.  by the time we got there we were all so tired, thirsty (good thing I always pack a little cooler of drinks!) and HOT!  It is a cute little cabin - but its really just a replica of what they think his cabin might have looked like that was built in the 90's, no, not the 1890's - the 1990's!  It was a little disappointing- but we made a fun memory with Grandpa Van Bree and that was worth it!
