A New IV and Fever Back Up

At 10 pm Luke's fever was 101.3 when they checked it. Still don't know why he would have the fever especially with the heavy duty antibiotics he is on. We won't know until we talk to the doctor tomorrow (now today I guess because we are after midnight) morning. We don't know if this restarts our 24 hours fever free (I assume it does), and as much as we want to leave the hospital we want him to be healthy and safe even more!
Now just after midnight he complained about his IV and sure enough it was getting puffy so they replaced it in his arm. He did so good the first time, but this time he knew what to expect. He looked at his arm, then the needle and said "nooo!" in the most authoritative 4 year old voice he could muster. A nurse came in and held his other hand and with some crying he did a great job and the IV is successfully repositioned. It wasn't funny to see him in pain and scared, but it was funny to hear him tell her no with such authority! Here he is laughing at us laughing at him. Pain is all forgotten! And tonight daddy is sleeping in his hospital bed with him and I have the pull out chair/bed. Jace is holding steady in his car seat, such a good baby!
